Family

Here is the beginning of my very first attempt at making a mini album all by myself. This Sketch N Scrap Sketch is just perfect for this book.

Sketch #92
I turned the sketch, then flipped it. I changed the two photos to one larger photo. A tag is added behind the photo as well as a 4 inch flap. It was easy to take a sketch intended for a 12 x 12" layout to 8 x 8".
The photo frame is actually a 4 x 6" foiled vellum piece. I used a circle die to remove the center, which is a wooden wheel. I added a wooden button and silver glitter enamel to the middle.

This sketch was just right. I'm hoping the December sketch will give me more inspiration for another page in the book.

Peeking Sunflowers

This November sketch from Sketch N Scrap is a fun framework to make a card. You have ALL month to try out this sketch and enter it for a prize. This card is posted on the Sketch N Scrap Facebook page as well.

Sketch #109
This card is made using some Graphic 45 Time and Place paper I had sitting around. I die cut the corner of the card using a circle die, then used that same die plus the next larger nesting die to make a border.

For the tag I used a craft knife to slice along the lower right corner of the border, then peeled it back. This made a peek-a-boo for the sunflower on the inside of the card.

The envelope is made using the Envelope Punch Board. The corner design was strategically placed so that it shows when you open the envelope.

Materials List:
Patterned Paper: Graphic 45 - Place in Time (August)
     Card Stock: Bazzill - black
Dies: Our Daily Bread - Stitched Circles
     Ink: Distress - Vintage Photo
