Spooky Kitty

One of my favorite things to do is to watch "Watercolor Wednesday" videos from Artistic Impressions and follow along as Bonnie turns stamping into pieces that resemble original watercolor paintings. This project was inspired by the "Evening Scene" that can be found on YouTube.
After Hurricane Harvey left us, we had a few days of cooler weather. This was the perfect time for venturing outside. Normally southern Texas weather is extremely hot this time of year.

The best thing about the watercolor projects is that all of the items needed fit into a shoe box. Watercolor Wednesday and Zentangle are my favorite things to do when traveling for this very reason. Anyway I grabbed that shoe box, my IPad and set up shop on the back patio (with the love bugs and mosquitoes). You'll notice in my picture there are two lapdogs. The tan and white one is my dog Riley. The blue one on my lap is a handy Lapdog Craft Tray that I received for Christmas 2 years ago. It is amazing for working away from the craft room.

Card & Envelope
When I complete the Watercolor Wednesday projects, I always feel so successful. I immediately wanted to frame it. I used an Elizabeth Craft die set to highlight my work and constructed a flower for the corner.

Inside of Card
The inside of the card is made from the pieces that were left over from the front. I was going to do a bit more of the watercolor stamping, but while I was at the Scrappn' Savvy yesterday I saw this cute little "Pumpkin Scene" die set and thought it would be good for the inside of the card.
Finally, I stamped another kitty on the envelope and added some teeny tiny grass.
