Flamingo in Petals

I got this stamp set from Stamps of Life last summer. I hadn't used it yet and decided to give it a try. I stamped and colored with Copics. I had to look up what color flamingo legs are. It turns out there are several options: pink, black, or pink with black knobby knees. I went with the last choice.
This patterned paper is a new paper at the craft store. It is BoBunny's Petal Lane. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was perfect for flamingos. I made my own flower using several Elizabeth Craft Designs dies and a brad.

  1. Sharon your colouring on those Flamingoes is utterly fabulous! Thank you for sharing it with us over at Sweet Stampin'. Our theme (which I think you might have misinterpreted) is Paper Piecing. This is a technique, where you stamp onto patterned paper (for instance the Flamingoes wings) and stick it down over the stamped image to create a 'Paper Pieced' feature on your card. That is what our theme is this week hun. I love your card to bits it's absolutely brilliant and I hope you'll come join us again soon with another fabulous creation. Hugs, Wends xoxo Sweet Stampin' DT
