Corrugated Coffee

Another coffee card?  No problem. It's one of my favorite topics.
I started by using the shabby polka dot background, only with the coffee bean embossing folder. I made two and dragged Gina K's Kraft ink pad over one of them and lightly distressed the other with the same ink.
I tore a large corner from the first background and distressed roughly with Tim Holtz distressing tool along the tear. I mounted this background over the other and centered on the card base.

The stamp set used is Claire Brennan's "Coffee". I stamped using Kraft and Tomato Soup. The red corrugated card stock is used as a mat and a thin line for the mugs to sit on. I found the Darice nesting die set (Wavy Squares) at Tuesday Morning last week. I couldn't wait to use it.

 Same card - different sentiment

Old Bean Wallpaper Pop Up

I just got this new stamp set and couldn't wait to use it. It is "Coffee" from Claire BrennanWhen it arrived I was astonished at the number of stamps that were in the package - 50! You do the math:
21 sentiments
+ 29 coffee related pics
                                 50 stamps

Anyway, I decided that I wanted to put the coffee pot on a table so I pulled out Karen Burniston's "Lots of Pops" die and set the table using ECD "Stitched Squares and a Recollections edge punch. The embossing folder is Karen Burniston's "Coffee Bean". I used the shabby polka dot background only with coffee beans instead. I love embossing folders and tend to forget to use them. The cover looks a bit

like a napkin. It is very simple. I tried to add more to it, but everything I placed took away from the simplicity of the napkin. Once the recipient of one of these pop up cards receives them they rarely display the outside anyway. BTW: Not one new sheet of paper was used in this creation - only scraps!
I have developed a taste for coffee. My aunt who was a teacher told me that "I would be driven to it" by my students. She was correct. I have to have a cup in the morning and another after school. Now I've been retired for 4 years, but as soon as I hear the school bus at 2:50 I go turn on the Keurig.
