I love this card for
a fall, masculine birthday. I started with a sheet of ivory cardstock. I
embossed leaves with clear embossing powder then used a heavy hand to randomly
distress with Old Olive, More Mustard, and Crushed Curry ink pads. I then used
a tissue to rub over the leaves to remove any ink there. I used my silhouette
to cut the vellum into the ovalish (Is that a word?) shape provided in the Gina
K Silhouette cut files that accompanies Gina K “Bounty of Blessings”. I
centered the owl and branch with gold embossing on the vellum. I then used
markers to color the owl on the back of the design. I used 4 tiny brown brads
to attach the vellum to the card. For the wood maple leaf embellishment, I
inked the wood with distress ink, tied a brown twine bow through the hole, and
added it with a glue dot. All stamps used were from the Gina K’s Simple Things
and Bounty of Blessings.
