Country Garden Shed

I'm spending the week in Indianapolis with my sister, Carol Ann. We took a day trip down to Brown County to shop in the boutique stores there. I had a wonderful time browsing in the scrapbooking stores: Wishful Thinking and Papertrix.

Carol and I are doing some cardmaking this week and I will post the cards that we make. This should be interesting as all of my supplies are back home in Texas.

At Tuesday Morning, I found five 2-sided sheets of card stock from the Country Livin' Collection by We R. I couldn't wait to get back to my sister's house to play in the paper.

Materials:

Paper: We R: Country Livin'
                            Sunday Dress - Quilted Flowers
                            Flower Field - Distressed Yellow
                            Weather Vane - Polka
            Bazzill Basics Paper: Tangy
            Watercolor Paper
Stamp: Hampton Arts Stamps: Gardening
Water Brush
Water-Based Markers
Bo Bunny Brads: Hello Sunshine
Yellow Button
Brown Thread
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad - Tea Dye

There is plenty of room for a sentiment on the front of the card, but I think I'll wait until I decide on what occasion I use it.

Here are more cards using the same paper collection:

This card is made from some paper that Carol bought.

HUGS: from the heart

This is my card for the Scrapp'n Savvy June SWAP. The paper is called "the Graduates Collection" from Doodlebug Designs. The pictures will show a more generic card, but the cards I turned in for the SWAP were graduation cards.

To make the card base: cut card stock in rectangle 4 1/4 x 11. Score diagonally upper left to lower right; fold back with bone folder; score at center of the V; fold in half with bone folder.
To cut nested pattern paper: cut rectangle 4 x 10 1/2; cut upper left to lower right; IMPORTANT - small triangle pattern face up; hold paper together as thought it is scored rather than cut; cut at the center of the V.

Materials:

Paper: the Graduates Collection (I didn't actually use any of the graduation-themed sides of the paper)
polka dot - Cap & Gown
                stripe - Who's Your Graddy?
Bazzill Basics Card Stock Solids - black and white
Ribbon - striped 7 inches
Silk Flower
Dies: My Favorite Things - Die-namics Blueprint #7
Punches: Circle - 1 and 1 1/4 inch
                Corner Rounder
Embellishments - Doodlebug Designs - Graduation Star Sprinkes - or gold brads - or combination
Journaling card insert - cut to size of a gift card - rounded corners
Stamps: "congrats" and "so very proud of you"
                                      or
              "hugs" and "from the heart"
