Love Bugs

Here is my January SWAP. The only requirement is that I use Doodlebug paper collection called "Lovebugs". Just completed 13 of these, plus 2 kits, so that my daughter and sister can make one too.
This card starts with a 4 x 4 black card base. The sentiment is from Gina K's Simple Things stamp kit. The flower is put together with a gem brad. The acrylic tag is heat embossed with a black ladybug. There is a 2 1/2 inch piece of hot pink baby rickrack to separate the stripes from the patterned paper.

Golden Thank You

The Christmas holiday season may be over, but it is time to make cards for the next season. 'Tis the season to send thank you cards.
I made this thank you card to send to my brother for a special Christmas gift he sent.

I started with Bazzil's Dotted Swiss paper - Mud Puddle - on an ivory card base. I embossed shiny gold paper using Darice's "Clock Background" embossing folder. I placed decorative edge at the bottom of the card made with Bazzil's Dotted Swiss paper - Mud Puddle using EK's edge punch "Dotted Wave".
I embellished with a clear plastic tag on which I heat embossed "'Tis the Season" with gold embossing powder. I added a Gina K gold cord bow, a gold brad through the hole in the tag, gold centers for the watch faces.

Golden Birthday

I needed a masculine birthday card for a gentleman in our dinner group.

I started with Bazzil's Dotted Swiss paper - Mud Puddle - on an ivory card base. I embossed shiny gold paper using Cuttlebug's "Happy Birthday" embossing folder. EK's "Dotted Wave" edge punch made an elegant band. Two layers of ribbon are centered across the band with a "Happy Birthday" buckle embellishment.
