Autumn Joy Fold Plus

This card starts off as a simple joy fold card. I used brads and pop dots to attach the flowers made form Graphic 45's die. I fussy cut the "Autumn" sentiment from ephemera and surrounded it with brown pearls, as well as acorns and a leaf. The acorns and leaf were the punch poop from a ek edge punch.

When you pop the panel from under the flowers, the card opens as a tri-fold. There is a pocket and tag on the left and more fussy cutting on the right. The center is adorned with a stamp and stripes from Patterns and Solids.

Here comes the PLUS!!! When you flip up the center panel you get an extra somethin' somethin'. I edge punched the mat for the top panel and used the punch poop to trickle down on the ephemera post card on the bottom panel. I used the edge punch on some Brown Eyes paper to make the acorns. The tops of the acorns are colored with gold gel pen.

Here is a close-up of the falling leaves and acorns. I also added a stamp.

Winter Birdhouse

I have been teaching a card class using the Graphic 45 Seasons Collection. It has been a fun year of cards. We made 16 cards and 4 calendars. We are on the home stretch here with the last season -- winter. I chose this paper because of the winter paper. I wanted to make this birdhouse.
I used the Silhouette to shape the roof. The birdhouse is placed on an easel card.

The birds in the hole are fussy cut from an ephemera card. I added flowers made from the Patterns and Solids, pine needles and pine ones from Elizabeth Craft Designs. There is antique gold glitter on the pine cone bases, then the overlays were added, so the glitter can peek through. I used a "not quite white" acrylic paint on the birdhouse and collage items. I sprinkled diamond glitter on the snow (paint) to add some extra sparkle.

I pop dotted a chipboard tag, flower, and pine cone on the inside of the card. This makes the card rest perfectly to show off the birdhouse.

Hedge Hug Birthday

I needed some birthday cards, so I used a Sketch from Sketch N Scrap. When I stamped the hedgehog, I stamped him 4 times. I ended up just making 4 of these cards since the coloring was done.

Card with Envelope
This is some OLD paper. It was old when I purchased it, and I have had it for several years. I found it in the scrapbook outlet store that used to be in Destin, Florida. It is made by Sassafras, which I doubt is still in business. I'll have to look that up. It is one-sided paper and I only have 4 pieces from the collection.

Sketch #134 by Lisa Hidy

I took a Copic class 2 days ago. We colored a fall scenic picture with trees, sawmill, rock bridge, and water. We used a technique to color the evergreens that involved a random upside down "V" stroke, using 3 or 4 colors of green. I used the same technique to color this hedgehog only with Warm Grays. When I finished coloring the green package, I added white spots with a white Uniball pen.
I have so many dies that I have a hard time searching through them to fine the one I'm looking for - or to even see if I have a particular shape at all. I have a data base that I am using to make this process easier. I'm using an app called EverNote. It is free if you don't go over your monthly limit. Whenever I hit the limit, I just take a break from entering data. I still need to enter my Spellbinder dies into the bank. I'm looking forward to entering my stamp collection as well. For instance, I was looking for a stamp that said, "You are my sunshine." I had to go through every box of stamps I had. When I complete this data entry, all I will have to do is put in a search.
I told you that in order to tell you this. I wanted gifts and bows for this card. I put in the word "bow" and . . . . well I was a bit surprise at the number of hits I got. If you look carefully at this card, you will note that I have used no less than 3 different bow dies. When I put in the search, I had to weed out all of the "bow" ties - and there were a bunch of those.

I was lucky that the die for the gift dies was the same size as the squares on the patterned paper I used at the bottom of the card. I was able to add the same bows to these squares, after drawing stitches around the squares I used.

Inside of Card

For the inside of the card, I used the same patterned papers. I was able to sneak in one last gift!

A Little Birdie Told Me . . .

My 4 year old granddaughter loves to get her toenails painted. These pics were taken at her last pedicure.
This paper is leftover from a card class I took a couple of years ago. The cards were so pretty that I bought a few pages from the paper line. As I sifted through my paper, I picked this one, because of the soft and feminine look it had.

For this layout I am using a sketch by Lisa Hidy. To participate in the challenge, you have the entire month of November over at Sketch N Scrap

#164 by Lisa Hidy
In the last Copic coloring class I took, we colored a Gorjuss girl. It inspired me to color this one that I have had for a while and haven't even stamped it once. I fussy cut her and pop dotted her to a patterned paper mat. I also used the complimentary stamps from another Gorjuss stamp set. These are the bows and the journaling oval. I added the bows to her hair, the oval, and the circle.

I bought the paper flowers at Hobby Lobby right before I left for my scrapbooking cruise. I thought the turquoise/white flowers would be great for a nautical layout. I never got a chance to use them, so here they are.

I got the title "Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful" from the patterned paper. The blue birds were extra stamps in the set.
