This is the first card made in my new craft room in my new house.
Unfortunately my laminator and Minc are still in storage. I raided the kitchen pantry for these cards.
I wrapped a piece of cardstock with foil (dull side out). I ran the entire thing plus a Sizzix embossing folder, through the Big Shot. The card on the right is using the negative side of the embossing folder. I then rubbed antique gold metallic paint over the foil. It left the embossing clean to give an etched look. I used the Silhouette to create and cut white and black ovals to fit exactly on the embossed frame.
Couldn't decide which one I like the best, so I posted them both. Which one do you prefer?
Stamps: Dashing, Snow One Like You
Ink: Kraft, Christmas Pine,Turquoise Sea, Black Onyx
CUBS WIN!!!!!

Oh wow, this is gorgeous! I love both versions of the foiling! The stamped scene is so pretty, you have done a great job here!
ReplyDeleteLove both! Gave me inspiration for a card problem I had. Curious what you used the dull side?
ReplyDeleteOn the dull side I used Antique Gold: Rub 'n Buff. Put it on the end of my finger and rubbed it, then buffed it with a tissue. A product called: Metallic Rub-On Paint Palette (found it on Amazon) was also recommended to me. My craft store didn't have the second one, so she sold the first to me to try. Hope this helps.
