So Sweet

I spent two weeks in May sitting with my 4 month old granddaughter, Brooklyn, while my daughter finished the last few weeks of school. As a treat my son-in-law, Steven, took me out for ice cream at the most popular spot in Fort Worth.

After polishing off my ice cream, I took a final photo of the CURLY'S sign. That is when I knew these pics were headed for a scrapbook page. This sketch from Sketch N Scrap worked perfectly. Now it is your turn to pop over to the Sketch N Scrap Facebook page for the Crop Challenge and upload your layout. I'll be watching to see your ideas for this sketch.

To form the title I welded an ice cream sundae with the words "So Sweet" on the Cameo Silhouette.

The tag below the pic is removable and contains the journaling for this event.

Blue "O"wl

My daughter received an invitation for a 3-year-old girl's birthday party and asked me to make a card. The theme of the party was Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood - NEVER heard of it!!  I checked it out on Google. I thought the little girl would be able to relate to something that resembled a character on the show. I chose the owl. BTW: His name is "O".
Card and Envelope
This July sketch from Sketch N Scrap is the perfect framework to make this card. You have ALL month to try out this sketch and enter it for a prize. This card is posted on the Sketch N Scrap Facebook page as well.
The chevron print down the left side of the card is not on the sketch. In my defense, I didn't really add it, as the chevron is the border provided at the bottom of the confetti paper. It is just a happy accident that it came up there on the paper.
You are seeing my infamous 1/8 inch strips of paper as embellishments. You see it a lot in my work. I find that on this card it adds interest and sometimes (not here really) elegance to a card.

Card Sketch #101
Here is a pic of the character I was trying to immulate:

There is another 1/8 inch strip on the inside of the card to made the illusion that the cake is dangling on the card. As usual I used a scrap here. There were some owl die cuts laying on the table when I finished.

Oops - a party hat left on on the craft table - mustn't waste!!!
