My mother-in-law is hosting her Pokeno group next month. She usually asks me to give her 16 cards from my stash to hand out as party favors. This time we decided that I would design a special card for the occasion. All of the players will get the same card. Here is the card I designed using Graphic 45's Garden Goddess Collection.
I chose to make a Box on Card. I made the card base and mat using the Cameo Silhouette, because I wanted the card to be scalloped.
I selected some 2-part butterfly dies. I placed Elizabeth Craft Designs double-sided adhesive on a pink patterned paper. I then die cut the butterflies. Each butterfly was dipped in Ultra Fine Diamond glitter. I think the paper looks like candy, hence "Candied Butterflies".
The box on top is a simple 2-inch cube. I recently learned how to make paper beads. I made earrings using the same paper found in the card.
Everyone asks how to get the box inside the envelope. The answer is that you don't. I place the box on the envelope. After opening the card, it can then be displayed with the box on top.

I ended up making 21 of these cards. |
My mother-in-law doesn't wear earrings, so I made her a bracelet to wear to her party. Don't look too closely. I was winging it. I have never made a bracelet before, and I was too lazy to look up the proper way to do it.
