Baby Grand Christmas

This card was commissioned by my husband for his piano teacher. Yes, Huey is taking piano lessons. I have always wanted to make a card shaped like a grand piano.

I started with a Silhouette piano card file. After assembling the piano, I used this sketch from Sketch N Scrap by Heather Hall to decorate the top of the piano.

Card Sketch #159 by Heather Hall

This poinsettia die is one of my all time favorites. I used two of the petals to make the gold leaves. I particularly like this gold metallic paper from Paper Mill. Two of my cropping buddies split a pack three ways this summer. I popped the cellophane on it for this project.

I used a stamp set from Recollections for the sheet music for Away in a Manger. Huey is going to slip a Texas Roadhouse Gift Card inside and present it at his next lesson.

  3. What a wonderful card design and it certainly does look like a grand piano. I am sure his piano teacher will be thrilled too. I love the poinsettia decor on it as well.
