Fall . . .

I pulled this pic off of the one photo pile. This was taken last September at a school carnival.

Our last RV trip was to Carlsbad National Park -long ago- last November. We took a day trip to Roswell just north of the national park to see the Alien Museum. There really isn't anything else to do in Roswell. We decided to walk up one side and down the other to find some lunch and window shop. We came across a store called Imagine That - A Scrapbook & Gift Store. From the outside it looked more like a gift shop, so as I walked through the door I had no expectations. I was greeted with 7200 sq. ft of scrapbook wonderland. This layout is a direct result of this shopping spree.

The owner of this store buys out discontinued products and inventory from businesses going out of business. She has a very healthy online business as a result. If there is something from the paper crafting past that you wish you could get your hands on, there is a possibility she has it in her store.

It may be hard to tell from this picture, but the "Fall..." and "Choosing the best ... carving pumpkins." is cut from a 12 x 12 acetate sheet of fun anecdotes.

One of my favorite finds of the day, were the long-discontinued Bazzill In Stitch'z Borders. They are templates for piercing patterns for sewing on paper. I bought all three sets. I chose to use this loopy pattern as a border on this layout.

I also found the We R stitching templates. These pumpkins were pierced on orange and green card stock, fussy cut, and popped onto this layout.

For this layout I used this sketch from Sketch N Scrap by Lisa Hidy. I love this sketch, once again, because it has a lot of opportunity to use several patterned papers.
