Take It Easy Dragonfly

      I happened across this card sketch from Sketch N Scrap. I thought it would make a great card and be fun to work with. I have been making cards like crazy with the "Take It Easy" kit from The Stamps of Life. The paper pad had this print in several colors. Since this is card #I6, I chose the colors based on what was left.

     Everything is glued right onto the card except that the dragonfly is pop dotted. I colored the dragonfly using Copics.

Dream Dragonfly

     Here is my #11 card from the Take It Easy card kit. I decided to add a little licorice card stock to the kit and use an embossing folder that love.

     I added some Wink of Stella after I took the picture. It was a huge improvement. I think this card may even look better with one of the designer papers from the paper pad in place of the embossed background.

Hello Beautiful

      I am really enjoying my "TAKE IT EASY" card kit from The Stamps of Life. This is card #10 for me. I am planning to work on #11 this afternoon, so stay tuned... I did run out of mint chip card stock and had to reach into my stash for a full sheet.

Birds of Paradise

     This card was primary created with The Stamps of Life products. I coupled Birds 2 Stamp with Tropical 2 Stamp, two stamp and die sets.

     I took a sheet of Echo Park's Paradise Beach from a 6 x 6 pad and folded it into an impossible card. I added brown paper underneath the design to give it a firmer base.

     I used my flower shaping kit to make the flowers and leaves 3-D. 

     The birds are colored with Copic markers. I used a technique that I learned years ago. It is so quick. I chose 2 colors B56 and CG2 (a stray Spectrum Noir marker that I got free in a class years ago) and flicked in from opposite directions. I'm not sure I am particularly satisfied with my coloring on the bird in the lower right corner, but the other 2 are OK. I alway say, "I'm not that great of a colorist, but I color well enough to make myself happy."
